OK they are sweet kids!

Evidence #1: I went into the girls room to get Abby up for school and this is what I found. Cailah had a bad dream and got in bed to snuggle with Abby and tell her all about it. They DO like each other.

Evidence #2: I walked into the living room and found Abby reading a book to Delayna. Of course right now she's more interested in eating the pieces, but they were both enjoying it and what better thing is there to do but share a good book on a rainy, thunderstormy kind of day?

Evidence #3: I can't tell you yet because I might jinx it, but it has to do with Delayna and sleep.

Evidence #4: Last night at dinner I announced that we were going to get the timer and spend a few minutes picking up each room after the dishes were done. We negotiated and ended up deciding we would work 5 mintues in each place. The girls had a melt down/fight during the first room. But Braydon stuck with me and after the first timer beeped said, "Mom, I want to do 10 minutes in each room." Away we went. The two of us got a lot done, and even more important to me, he was doing it with a smile! P.S. The girls did become friends after writing down a report of the incident they could both agree on. It was complete just in time to to be done working and head to bed. I'm sure they'll be super helpers tonight.

Evidence #5: Mike had to leave on my birthday and was gone for dinner. The kids made a dinner menu, a at the house food charge card with $100.00 for me to use, and let me choose my dinner which they made and served me in bed. Abby then made dinner for the rest of the family. They also made me a write my own mystery story kit. Cool Birthday.

6 months old

OK I know I'm seriously slow, but here are Delyana's six month snapshots, and no I couldn't decide which one to use. At six months she has learned how to palm her balls (look closely and you can tell), throw a fit, roll from back to front (which really ticks her off), grab for toys and laugh. We love it when she giggles. Nothing is safe that is within arms reach of the baby. We are still hoping she'll learn to sleep for more than a few hours at a time.

BBQ--Yummy

I learned two important things this morning.

1. We can no longer turn our back on Baby D for more than two seconds.

2. I have been trying to feed Delayna the wrong things. She doesn't like formula, rice cereal or peaches. They all come right back out no matter how many times you put them in her mouth. But BBQ sauce, she'll suck on that for as long as you let her.

I left Delayna watching Braydon and Cailah eat their breakfast for a minute this morning and two seconds later they are laughing that Delayna has ketchup. Yep, she got it herself. Nope, not ketchup, but a container of BBQ sauce they left out last night. Yum!!!

So much fun to be had in Salt Lake. We made a quick trip to IKEA and visited the Bean Museum and are so happy Nick has learned it exists now. We also enjoyed time on the side of the freeway changing a tire (Go Kris and Al) and were greatful for Dad and Nick coming just in time to make sure it was on tightly. That led to time at Les Schwab getting the tires replaced and a day to chill out at Susan and Alan's. Kristin, Bethany, Alyson, Alyssa, Abby and Cailah created really cute puppy cupcakes to celebrate Braydon and Kristin's birthdays. We saw all sorts of sea creatures at the Aquarium. Abby and Braydon had there first day of skiing while Grandma Bell, Mom, Delyana, Cailah, and the Colorado Bells headed to the zoo. Have you seen a white alligator? We have. We had a little Wii time, kite flying, and rocket shooting. And then. . . . time to head home. Now with all the time we spent with Ashlee and the kids one would think we had lots of pictures. But do we, no. Not a one. It's just not in me to keep it up for more than two days. Good memories will have to suffice.Abby in front and Braydon close behind. Look at that happy face.

Easter in Pinto

We had a great Easter weekend at the cabin in Pinto. The kids had a great time together and after the initial shyness quickly wore off. Now we just have to get back while they still remember each other. We had fun coloring eggs, riding the 4-wheelers, coloring eggs, dancing to music in the loft, hunting eggs eating far too much, kite flying and watching non-stop showings of Disney's Enchanted. That movie cracked me up and I don't mind that my kids quote it constantly and can be heard belting out "How does she know you love her?" or singing the Happy working song while . . . working, or not. A must repeat vacation!

Braydon's Birthday

At six Braydon is a kick. He has moved up the mischevious scale several notches and likes to torment his family members (with a smile of course). He is thinking that he'll try going to school next year and I'm going to miss him :0(. Here's a few pictures from his party.
